Hello Everyone,
Happy summer! We knew this was going to happen! They predicted a hot summer and it seems it has started already. Who knows we might be praying for rain soon, although we can handle these warm summer days for awhile.
Thanks to everyone last month who supported our YARD SALE FOR THE CURE, by either
donating items or shopping. Even though it wasn't a nice day, we managed to raise over $2000, to donate to Breast Cancer. We feel good to belong to a company whose mandate is to give back to the community in which it serves. We also donate a portion of each cheque to CMN, (Children's Miracle Network/Sick KIds Hospital) and Remax has donated millions of dollars over the years to this worthy cause. So if you recommend us to any of your friends or family, please make mention of these worthwhile causes that they would be helping too, should they use us to buy or sell. As always, we love to hear from you.
And this summer we are offering an added bonus. For anyone who refers a new client, who buys or sells, before August 31st, we will be entering your name in a draw for a $500 shopping Spree. So keep your ears open for anyone that you hear talking about moving. And of
course, two referrals means twice the chances of winning. Good Luck!
The provincial government has been considering a mandatory Energy Audit, so that home sellers will have to have this done before they sell their home. This could prove costly if the energy audit number is low, either in the way of expensive repairs eg windows, or a lower price because of needed updates. For now it has been shelved but it may be back. If you've been waiting to sell until next year, it may be time to rethink that. Get in touch with me if you'd like more info.
Market conditions are relatively stable in our area, with inventory down slightly but overall sales are up by 9% from last month. Listings are also up over 6% from April, with a moderate price increase from last year. There is still shortages in many price ranges and multiple offers are not uncommon. Interest rates went down again so it is a good time for buyers before rates go up, likely in the mid summer months.
Don't forget Dad's Day coming up - time for someone else to do the bar-b-qing, right Dad? Enjoy your day!
All the Best,
Rick and Judy
